Finding Balance

As the season of Autumn finally arrives and the brutal heat of the summer in Kansas City has finally passed... I’m enjoying a rare moment of peace where I can open the windows. The air is calm. The sun rests gently on my skin. I can finally breathe.
I’ve had so much on my plate this year that I forgot that stillness is what I need the most sometimes. My life is full of beauty. But this has been a tough year, and I’m grateful to have this moment.
Besides the typical chaos of my life, I’ve been working on building a new business. It involves a passion I discovered about myself at the very beginning of the year. It’s a wonderful discovery.
As I’ve been building it, there have been many lessons to learn along the way. Not just about the business but for myself. Harnessing my strengths and acknowledging my weaknesses has been a challenging thing to adapt to on top of everything else going on.
Besides my usual travel (usually about 2-3 different cities a month), I recently forced two overseas trips to Europe within a month. When the body crashes it crashes. And I’ve been ignoring it for way too long.
Needless to say I just got to thinking… I need to write more often here. I’ve been encouraged to do so. But the priority list in my life always keeps shifting and changing and growing. It’s hard to “grow roots” in a place when your life is so unpredictable with travel. So yes I still live in Kansas City. Still on the go just finding the flow. Thank you for taking a moment to let me share a part of my inner world.
